How long should a water heater last?
A conventional tank generally runs eight to twelve years; tankless units often last twenty or more with maintenance. Annual flushing matters, as our hard-water areas build sediment that shortens tank life considerably.
Tank or tankless — which is right for me?
Tankless gives endless hot water, saves floor space and lasts longer, but costs more up front and may need venting and gas line changes. A tank is cheaper to install and simpler to service. Household size and hot-water habits usually decide it.
Can you replace it the same day?
In most cases yes. We keep common residential sizes available, so a failed heater discovered in the morning is frequently replaced before evening.
How often should it be flushed?
Once a year for a tank. It is a small job that removes the sediment layer causing rumbling, slow reheating and premature tank failure.
What size do I need?
It depends on bathrooms, occupants and peak demand rather than simply matching what was there. Undersizing means cold showers; oversizing wastes energy every day. We size it to your household.
